We truly loved this place!!! Took my dad for his birthday and it didn't disappoint. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing. The food was fresh, hot and so tasty! We will be going back for sure. Dogs are allowed here as long as they are on a lead which is fine with us. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Last minute Sunday lunch. Phoned at 2.00pm. Had to be there by 2.15pm. Arrived at 2.15. Carvery closes at 2.30pm. Missed a starter. The 4 of us had carvery. Fantastic. Melted in the mouth. Well worth it. We all had desert. Great pub. Lovely service. Went out of they're way to help. If we d been a bit later we still could have eaten but not the carvery

Good beer, good honest food, we had the sausage pie; weird but good! Quirky but fun environment. Worth 5 stars.

Nice village pub.. Looking to eat me and my girl... but they were fully booked lunch time so advisable to book...Few people eating so I gather the food must be OK. .. Will book next time and check it out . Then update review ..
The building itself looks like it could do with some money spending on it so the owner of the building needs to put his hand in his pocket and tidy it up a bit before it gets beyond repair. ..Other than that it nice to see a village pub that appears to be doing well. Looks like there is regular entertainment. .Fantastic ..

Fantastic! Short walk from the mooring on the river and worth every step. Staff friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Good beer on tap - including Doom Bar and Abbot Ale. Didn't have the Abbot in case I couldn't get back to boat! Food was fantastic. If a picture paints a thousand words - here are two thousand words 👍👍👍👍👍

Great food. Service. Reasonable prices. Best roast dinner I have eaten out in ages, gravy always makes a good roast.

The most gorgeous village PUB, EVER! Lots of thoughtful outside areas for different sizes of social groups gather, Including a much coveted log fire, rustic under cover seating and tended to by the local ot customer who has the honour of being seated closest to the logs. Although, when taking on on this task, you should expect lots of "advice, support and good humoured ribbing" on how well you placed your your log and therefore made 🔥 fire.
The landlord is welcoming and can always be relied on to think of lots events to keep the locals and visitors entertained and coming back. The staff are warm and friendly. The ale is great. A lovely red wine available and as a Yorkshire Lass who has driven many 250 mile round trips, to be at some of the brilliant events put on throughout the, "WOODFORDSTOCK" being my favourite, they make a fabulous brew that comes with a biscuit.
The food is also great having eaten there many times, be it a snack for lunch. Going the full hog and eating in the restaurant on an evening, or tucking into lovely pub gub in the garden.
Ladies, the loo's are downstairs. You will even find feminine hygiene products in there if you are cought short (thank you).
There is parking.
It has charmed me so much, either though I live in Leeds, it is the pub I go to most frequently.
