The lovely cheerful young waitress was brilliant, but had obviously not had training.
The soup was tasteless, and took ages to arrive. The main course was OK - but nothing special. We were not allowed a desert because the waitress said at 9.00 exactly, we couldn't order any more food after 9.00. The most bizarre dining experience I have ever had.

My 10yo son and I stayed here last week on a four day bike ride to Norfolk. This was our third night, and our third night of accommodation booked. This establishment was head and shoulders the best. The staff were super-helpful and really nice. The accommodation is absolutely beautiful and little things like offering fresh milk in the rooms is both a nice touch and environmentally good too. We had dinner in the bar and that was great and well-priced too. The breakfast was perfect!

The food was fine,we had a starter which was huge filling me up not a problem. Steak lovley.I was too hot in the restaurant and the thing that made me furious was I waited over 40 mins for my 1st drink my husband got up several times to see where it had got to leaving his meal, his coke was flat, not a very good experience on our wedding anniversary.

We couldn't fault it . Good range of beets etc. I chose the draught old speckled hen. But the food was simple and plentiful. Roast beef and horseradish sauce sandwich with a mountain of salad and crisps for less than £8.00

Also theircd buffet looks awesome

Went for evening with my bowls club. Nice atmosphere in pub and seems popular. I’m afraid the meal wasn’t that great, a carvery, it seems about average these days for pub food. The staff were friendly and service was good. I suggest looking at menus on line before booking.

Thank you Charlotte & your team for the excellent service and atmosphere you provided us for the wake of our dear mum. The food was delicious and there was lots of it. Wonderful value for a very reasonable price. The family highly recommends you and we will be visiting again soon to try out your hot buffet. Thank you so much. Sonia,Tim & Carol

We held a wake here after a funeral at the nearby Mintlyn Crematorium.
Every was perfect for us.
The food was very good - including real bread sandwiches, coffee & tea "on tap" and cake.
The facility gave us privacy with easy access to the bar. The food and drink were ready upon our arrival.
We were pleasantly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Thank you for providing the perfect place and atmosphere for us to sit, chat and recall days gone by.

Back to basics with a simple but tasty home cooked pub menu!
If you’re after fine dining then this isn’t the place for you but if you’re looking for a yummy meal with friendly staff, doggy friendly and very well kept beer then this is the place!
