First time I visited, food was great and plenty of seating outside on a sunny day. Would recommend stopping in if your passing. Parking could be a little better, but it doesn't detract from the place itself.

Fantastic visit and reminder of many years of visits to The Running Pump, after fifteen years away. Great to see that the character has not changed and the beer is still great, of course. Thanks to ALL at the The Running Pump, we'll be back.

Great food and great staff. The food is restaurant quality and the pub is cosy with fires lit to keep you warm. The staff are really friendly and helpful and it’s great knowing the staff know what they’re serving. The beer is spot on. The pub is dog friendly and they have a dog free dining room too.. my favourite place to go. Definitely recommend

Stopped here for a rest stop after a long bike ride with my son. I have eaten here previously and the food was very good. However I cannot comment on the food on this occasion as it was a quick stop to use the bathroom. The service I received from ordering drinks was very nice. Friendly staff. They also accept debit card. We will go back soon for food and up date you as I don’t want to give a review on my past experience when I never put a review. One thing I will comment on it the public parking across from the pub. Extremely dangerous. No one can walk on the side walk were they park which is against the law. There was plenty of space on the pub car park which would have been safer than were some customers had parked.

Lovely countryside setting. Good real ale. Popular with diners. Now open Monday evenings. Car parking available. Polite, efficient staff. Dog friendly if that's your thing. Well worth the visit. Coastal coaches run the public bus service which passes the pub teatime (77 & 77A). Building looks well maintained both inside and out.
