Wonderful food! Some of the best I have tasted! I had present breast with sausage and black pudding wrapped in bacon and my wife had leg of lamb. Both dishes served promptly and well dressed. The staff were very helpful and the land lady could not do enough for us. Rooms were nice if a little basic.
I would recommend having food here to anyone passing through Barnoldswick.

We visited The Fountain Inn for a surprise birthday party for a 90 yr old lady who comes for lunch here every Saturday. Knowing that we would be staying the night at this B&B I was unsure at first what to expect but my fears were soon put to rest. On entering this was how a northern boozer should look like, no sign of a pub trying to be something it isn't, this is the kind of place you would find on TV. The staff here were the most hospitable I have come across in any pub for a long time and the buffet they had prepared for the party was fantastic, there was not a single complaint from anyone. I made use of the bar for several hours before going upstairs to my room which again I was not sure what to expect. With the location being a very old person't town I was expecting the bedroom to be a bit like a room in an old folk's home smelling of cabbage but it was actually quite modern with good views of the high street from the windows. I am sure there are people who will give the rooms bad reviews because of the noise coming from the bar but what do you expect, it is a B&B above a very busy pub, get used to it, it didn't bother me in the slightest. Next morning we had breakfast, a full English, and it was delicious. It may not be a modern poncy looking bar that most people expect these days but it is a great place to eat/drink and stay, with very attentive staff and I would stay here again without question.

Came here for tea on steak night with my partner and toddler. Rump steak was perfect and the steak and ale pie was amazing. However forgot my veg with my pie but apart from that it was all good . Very quick service for food aswell!

Nice enough pub, good choice of beers but they are definitely not kept in the best condition. I tend to stay away from the real ale these days (which is a shame), having had to ask for a different beer on numerous occasions. The food is usually good.

We called in here last minute for a room and the landlady managed to get one sorted for us. The young lady from the bar showed us to our room and she was really lovely. We couldn't dine that night as the chef was ill but we had drinks and again the staff were absolutely brilliant.
We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning served by the stand in chef and it was top class. Well done to all and thank you.

We had a fantastic meal here. Amazing chilli nachos to start with a massive double bacon cheese burger and fries for one main and chicken breast with veg and mash for the other. Great quality food, great atmosphere and nice real ales. Staff were amazing and gave us a small bottle of preseco on the house to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommended for food and drinks

Four of us ate there last night (Saturday). 2 Kids. Great menu and food! Recommend the Scotch Eggs starter and “Pie of the Week” - which was Chicken & Chorizo.

Warm, friendly welcome and helpful approachable staff!

Will visit again!
