One of the best pubs in Kent! Great outside garden with lots of space. Wide range of beers ans ciders and a great food menu. Lovely setting for a countryside pub.

Such a lovely garden and play area, great family pub and place to spend an afternoon. Lots of wooden carvings and local artwork dotted around the gardens. Inside it's full of character, cosy and clean. Staff seemed really nice and attentive. Food was good value but a bit of a let down, hence just 3 stars. It definitely looked better than it tasted, sorry. Roast beef seemed cooked from frozen and potatoes were cooked too quickly/not properly roasted and yet burnt. Extensive menu so perhaps we just picked badly... or perhaps therein lies the problem.

What a great place. I have only recently started to go in there. Live music nights are a must see and it starts early. Food, again a must, we had a prawn and salmon dish, it was the nicest Ive tasted in a long time. A quaint, quirky bar area. We have been back several times and will keep going. A gem of a place.

Lovely pub halfway between London and Rye! Superb Ales, food and welcome from Landlord and locals. Will come again.

We placed our order at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere of a locals spot. Service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a great hake fish and chips and the sea bream special was top notch. An incredible building with a mysterious history. Would love to know what the walls have seen!

We always have a great time here. Large selection of beers/ales, with good pub grub. Lovely village pub. Beer garden is perfect in the summer

A fascinating pub with a great range of ales. Don't be put off by its age. It is ramshackle and quirky but well worth a visit. The food is nice too.
