A beautiful pub with lively friendly staff (one was singing a little to some songs playing lol). The food was top notch. My stepdaughter and I had goats cheese lollipops with beetroot to start and beef brisket with onion gravy baguette and a side salad for our lunch. There were a few guest ales on tap too. I have to reiterate the staff were fabulous. The food, even for a lunch was exceptional, soft beef, gorgeous gravy with plenty of onions. The toilets were spotless, with plenty of tables and 3 seating areas. Well worth a visit.

Great service, great food, great staff

Decent sized car park. It's just before the pub on the left. Gets busy so best book

We went on a Sunday, good choice. Kids menu is just smaller portions of adult meals. Half price. So good choice for kids

Thoroughly enjoyed

Sunday early evening. Table for two pre booked. I can't add any more superlatives to the reviews already here. Always excellent, fresh food, beautifully presented by courteous and knowledgeable staff. A good choice of meals to suit most clients and a roaring log fire. Plus, you may come here starving, but don't go home hungry. Highly recommended.
Many thanks for an excellent evening.

Amazing food. Lovely place too.

The black pudding and home made steak pudding were to die for.

Also had sweet potato fries for those who cannot digest white carbs.

Another great meal at the Brown Cow. Chicken Satay skewers to start, followed by 1 10oz steak with Diane sauce, 1 Gammon and eggs, 1 Brown Cow burger and lastly 1 Icecrea and checkmate brownie. All cooked and served to perfection. As far as cost goes, all I can say is, you get what you pay for. 1st class evening and service.

Booked in boxing day and brought Mum & Dad, second visit in as many months. We all thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic food and service here, especially the lamb Henry & lemon meringue mess.
Called Sunday lunchtime a month or so ago, not been here for at least twenty years.
The onion and cider soup was delicious.
The roast beef dinner was very good, but the star of the show was the lamb Henry, probably the best that I have had for many years.
The portion sizes are fantastic, (I have rather a hearty appetite).
The service was exemplary.

Brown Cow is Excellent. The food is very good for the money 💰 a good friendly place to eat. And the landlord Dave is a nice Bloke to get on with. They have proper Chips not those frozen fluffy things.
So get there, you won't be disappointed.
