Another absent owner pub run by arrogant untrained 20 somethings with limited selection of beer, mostly owners own brew, lager & cider. The only friendly staff here are the ones that haven't been given the title "manager", of which there are several. Very poor service, waiting times being served are depending on the mood of staff, and how much local gossip they have to discuss, even when very few customers.

what a lovely friendly pub! Been in here a couple of times, always greeted by friendly , efficient bar staff, a young man called Rob served me today. The customers are just as friendly as the staff too. Drinks are very reasonably priced.
Covid 19 prevention measures are strictly adhered to.
In a town full of pretentious 'bars' geared up for tourists and saturated in 'fakery', it is a refreshing change to find a proper pub.
I will return...thank you...Bryony Smith

Haven’t been to the pub yet, but the lovely family that runs this pub deserve 5 stars just for their kind gesture to take in Ukrainian refugees under their roof. Well done guys!

Thanks to Rob and staff for providing a lovely spread on Tuesday after our mums funeral, food and cakes were wonderful, they made a difficult time lovely with a nice atmosphere for us and our family, all the staff were amazing and we can't thank them enough

Had a lovely roast pork dinner today on the £1 offer. Will definitely recommend going again or if it's a first time well worth it. Was only £1 today only as an introduction to roast dinners. If you book today only for one in October it will be £5 after that normal prices resume.
You really don't know what you are missing until you try them.

Excellent service. Lovely food. Superb prices. They don't serve cups of tea but they managed to sort it!

Second visit; they now serve tea!

Very disappointing experience. Booked a table 3 weeks in advance to watch a football match . Checked in the week to confirm the booking and confirmed all ok. Turned up to find the table booked didn’t even have a view of a TV. Met with an aggressive security man who said tough. My relatives live in Winchester and it was Brothers Birthday. Spoilt the whole evening - would never recommend this place.
