This is a lovely place. I love that they're dog-friendly! The staff are lovely - honestly, it was quite busy when we were there, so they were rushed off their feet, but they were always smiling, friendly, and making sure things ran smoothly. Fantastic customer service. We really enjoyed our meal (prepare for large portions!) and I hope we can visit again in the future.

With the decor and food, it’s understandable that this gastropub has won mutliple awards. They did seem rather short-staffed upon our visits, which you can imagine the consequences of that, and my friend was moaning about the apparent “excessive greasiness” of his meal - a criticism brought up here by even the kindest of Belper’s resident restaurant critiques. However, we only visited twice so can’t claim that this is a common or recurring issue.

A good experience 👍

Only dropped in by chance a we were passing but will certainly be going again. A really nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and great food. A good selection of beer and ales. The perfect pub

Outstanding Sunday dinner the 'arf n 'arf was amazing. Cauliflower cheese was perfectly cheesie. I'd go back in a heart beat. Plenty of real ales to try and a casque mark pub too. To make things even better they are dog friendly. Stanley loved being able to join us for lunch. Lots of parking around the back.

What's not to love? Great options for all tastes, fantastic prices, lovely service, fab meals, free bottle of bubbles on your birthday! Interesting decor, everything in the toilets worked well and was fully stocked and it was relaxed and easy to book a table.

Would happily done here again with friends if I was in the area. Thank you 🍾

Owned by Dancing Duck (same as the Exeter in Derby) so obviously there's the full range of Dancing Duck beers; however, in similar fashion to the Exeter there's guest cask alongside keg lager/cider and keg craft, there's also a decent range of craft in cans.

Obviously soft drinks and hot drinks are also available.

The food menu is impressive with everything looking really good, so good that it's actually pretty hard to choose.

We ended up with a hanging kebab served with a really fresh salad and fries and a Bangalore burger with massala fries.... both of which were absolutely superb.

The interior is pretty cool, classy yet slightly quirky which works really well, all the staff were really nice, polite and friendly, but not over the top which can come across as a bit fake sometimes.

Absolutely worth going to, especially if you're hungry.

A fabulous pub which I only wish was closer to where we live!
Himself was super happy with the in-house ales and I was happy with my drinks being served the exact way I like them.
Got the sharing bucket of chips with the sausage, black pudding, chorizo and cheese topping between us and was incredible 😋. I then had the Biscoff biscuit brownie which is as every bit delicious as it sounds.
We are regular visitors to the area and I am beyond gutted that it has took us this long to frequent this business, but it will certainly not be our last time here.
We will be back!!!
