Bakers Dozen

First rating I gave was 5 stars as couldn't fault it. Yesterday however was a disaster, ordered half a roast chicken, thought it looked a bit odd as I have never been served roast chicken without Crispy skin. First bite was stone cold tested it with my finger and the whole chicken was ice cold. The waitress couldn't be more apologetic even though it has nothing to do with her . She gave me back 9 pound even though the meal is 11 pound on the menu. I was offered another main course for free so ordered a burger , my partner had finished his meal there was nobody left in the pub ordering food they'd all been and gone , 25 minutes later still no burger ( it didn't even take 25 minutes for are main course to come out when the place was busy ) 30 mins gone I felt sick now and not a soul came over . I jst got up left and went to mcdonalds instead.

This green king pub/restraunt on switch island retail park I by far the most opulent 'Greens' that I have visited so far. The entire venue was sparkling so it was clear that there was a very effective cleaning schedule going on. I had the vegan fish and chips which arrived promptly after ordering and was just enough to fill me up.

This venue is on a trading park so the view outside is pretty grim but that is more than compensated for by the decor inside. They seem to have gone for a Victorian carnival atmosphere with use of deep reds and soothing greens aplenty. They have struck the balance really well making it very tasteful.

Bakers Dozen hungry horse....... i think its called the hungry horse because you wait forever for your food. ordered 3 x meals chicken & chips, fish & chips and scampi & chips...... we waited over an hour for the food to come out, the scampi wasn't cooked and the fish smelled funny my wife didn't eat it. we looked around and it seemed no-one in there was actually eating everyone was waiting for food. Really disappointed because this place is right on my doorstep so really wanted to like it but I definitely won't be coming back. The manager did refund us for my wife's fish meal.

Edit in response to the response from the owner. Thenkyou for reaching out to try and resolve the issue and asking me to call you. The issue we had with the meal had already been resolved by the manager ( blonde lady with glasses) she was very helpful and understanding of the issue and offered a refund on the meal. We were not wanting a refund and would of had something else but the fact we waited an hour for the fish and chips to be cooked we didn't want to wait for another hour so decided to take the refund. So there was really no need to call you. All the staff were great especially the manager and dealt with the problem.

Place was empty when we walked in, which we thought was good initially as we thought we would be served fast. We sat down and the tables were sticky the booth seats the material had peeled off. As we were hungry we just thought we would see what the food was like. We started with drinks, there was no hot drinks being served, because the machine wasn't working and they didn't have any mugs 🤔 We decided to order a soft drink, we could have a soft drink but there was no ice 🤦‍♀️ We ordered the food, they had everything in stock 🙌 Our breakfast came, sausages didn't look cooked, we must have had 2 teaspoons of beans (if we were lucky), toast was missing from mine and my partner's breakfast and my daughter was having scrambled egg, cheese and beans on toast and she got scrambled egg on toast 😮

We popped in for a lunch after a bit of shopping and ordered a burger and a curry. The food was really nice and excellent value, but what made the experience even better was the very helpful and friendly staff serving us. One lady in particular called Laura who went above and beyond, always smiling and nothing was too much of a problem. Will definitely visit again

Long wait , barely any choice on food, one worker on bar others were on claw machine…. And pool table even cook just an embarrassment of staff if you don’t want to work don’t! Gone such down hill , read other reviews and I am not surprised by them also (owner /manager) before you replying as I see you have to all bad reviews no need to on this one I won’t call, you need to sort your staff out or get new ones just embarrassing themselves ( lad server was only the only helpful member

Went to breakfast with Santa today and have to say a huge well done to everybody involved from Santa his elf and all the serving staff. what a fantastic day my grandchildren enjoyed every bit of it well done. Happy Christmas to you all.

Went mid afternoon on Valentines day expecting it to be quite chaotic but was atmosphere was great and food times were excellent, have been to other hungry horse pubs and ordered similar food but this was much better! Great value for money.

My first time going in a long time but will definitely be returning soon!
