Really polite staff. Lovely location. Prices are reasonable value for money. I had the steak which was meant to be medium rare but due to how thin it was, by the time it was delivered it had continued to cook to the point it was almost well done. Lovely flavour though, just a bit thin. Probably some of the best chips I have had in a long time. They were really thick, fluffy on the inside and yet crispy on the outside. My wife had the deviled liver on toast for starters. The flavour was delicious however the toast was soaking in the sauce and really would have been better using a thick slice of a farmhouse loaf. The main course was a burger. The burger patty was thick, juicy and flavoursome. Overall a nice place for lunch and Will return.

Friendly traditional pub with outside pods in the garden, cozy fireplace and plenty of parking. Good selection of beers. A little bit difficult to find - it's easy to drive past - just look for the petrol station - it's behind that! (Whoever let that be built there needs shooting!!!)

Brilliant Restaurant! We had Sunday lunch here today. The roast was without a doubt the best roast I've had at a restaurant - normally at other places they are pants. Highly recommended

Good food and friendly service. Particularly enjoyed the roasted vegetables with feta and pesto. Chocolate puddle pudding also lovely.

A very nice country style pub with a gorgeous open fire and plenty of seating. A pint of lager is fiver but some of the other unusual beers on tap are around the six quid mark. Overall, I really enjoyed my brief visit and will go again

It's been 5 years since my last visit and unlike last time I really enjoyed the food and service.
I would highly recommend the Monday Club menu. Strikingly good value; choice of starter, main and glass of house wine for about£13
All our party opted for the wonderful mussels with chilli and lemongrass for starter. My dad thought it was so tasty that after he finished the mussels he poured the sauce into a glass and drank it!
Some had pork loin in cider sauce for main and the others had burger with chips.
Lovely old building adds to the ambiance. Really warm welcoming service from the young ladies at front of house helped make it a memorable and good value lunch.
