Great traditional pub. Can't beat it for value for money. Food was lovely. Very welcoming. Just off the canal and has great views to the Chirk aquaduct and viaduct

Very friendly, family run pub. We were given a hearty welcome by staff and customers alike as soon we entered. We were too late as walk ins to order food, which smelt delicious, but they were happy to permit take aways to be ordered to their premises to compensate and the locals informed us of our eating options in Chirk, at the top of the hill, and were genuinely happy that we'd enjoyed our meal when we returned for another drink. Beer was the cheapest I've found so far in this area and a nice pint to boot. Well worth the walk from the canal.

Lovely pub with great food. Just had a sharing platter for 2, good value at under £15. Whole roast chicken, lovely and moist with chips that were the best we have had for a long time, plus onion rings, corn on the cob and a bit of salad. All whilst sat in the sun overlooking the aqueduct we had crossed from our moored canal boat. Friendly staff and would highly recommend a visit.

Lovely place to pull up on canal side. So nice inside. Staff were nice, free drink when we went in. Food was nice but it wasn't very hot.

Lovely little stop near the aquaduct. Very welcoming. Limited outside seating space. Very dog friendly.
Food was good, not amazing but perfectly good for a quick pub lunch.
