The Fox And Raven

My experience of the Fox and Raven was amazing. My waitress Erica went out of her way to make us a non alcoholic cocktail which was lovely and she was so attentive. The food was delicious especially the bannoffi pie which the nicest I have tasted.
Will definitely recommend and return in the future

Good food. Staff are smiley happy and certainly try their best, no problems there. Food arrived extremely quickly. Couldn't believe it. Don't think it was microwaved, seemed freshly cooked, but how do you heat up a big pie in 5 or 10 minutes?!? Yet it tasted and looked freshly cooked, chips too, everything. We'll done guys, we'll becoming back, again.

Brilliant pub, lovely beer garden with amazing staff. Food is five star everytime, I can't fault the place, can't reccomend the place enough for a night out or a Sunday lunch.

Always a nice atmosphere and friendly welcome from the staff. Quick service at the bar while waiting for friends to arrive. Usually book a table as were unable to get a table once due to staff shortage. Fairly good selection on the main menu but one friend would very much like to see gluten-free on normal menu to save any delay in ordering. Usually have the Hunters Chicken Schnitzel which is so tasty and better than anywhere else.l

Property looked very tired on the outside, with car park having huge puddle where surfacing hadn't been maintained. Inside much better, although from the sheets of wood constructed in our part of the dining area, I would assume internal refurbishment was due to take place. Staff were courteous, polite, friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. Food was great and good value for money.

Love the building /decor /vibe. Seemed short staffed. Waited a while to be served at the bar. Staff friendly though. Vegan choices OK. Couple of options. Had the burger. Burger and chips. Might have expected some salad with it? Inside the burger was just the burger itself and a piece of tomato. Some kind of condiment would have been nice. Sat outside, nice area and nice view.

Went to the Fox and Raven in Chelmsford tonight it cost me about £200 for six of us tonight including drinks but the food was not good at all the menu had a number things not available plus 3 of the six meals were not any good the slow cooked beef berginyon the meat was tough as old boots we could not eat it very poor.
It’s a shame as This place used to be used to be good but it’s not any more very disappointed.
I would say do not go their you will be disappointed.
