Nice enough pub with a playground and great beer garden. Food is fine but (in my opinion) a bit overpriced for what you get and the plating is …interesting (see picture as others may have different opinions). Weirdest thing was the waitress delivered our food and then told us we had to fetch our own cutlery, when she’d walked right past it to deliver the food - why the weird approach? (Cutlery also had dried on bits of food)

Went for a Sunday lunch and ordered 3 x Roast Beef, and 1 x Roast Chicken. The beef was tasty enough, however the rest of the meal was nothing to write home about. The staff were very pleasant. Perhaps if I visit again I will try something else on the menu.

Very nice place, for my daughters birthday weekend we had a lunch meal here. The staff was friendly and funny. The food was good, and the drinks 👍. The children loved the little play area and it was nicely seated outside.

We had average service. No one there to greet and show us to the table. Food was not very good, 3 out of four of us did not feel good after the evening, and the next morning. Whitebait was tasteless and shrivelled. Overpriced, whilst l appreciate the cost of living crisis. Only choice of steak was flat iron at £27.00. Better food in Spoons.

No booking required, arrived to a warm welcome and service for pre dinner drinks quickly taken and delivered. The main course food arrived in good time. Tanglefoot meat pie, red cabbage and smooth mashed potatoes with a rich sauce was extremely tasty and plenty of it. Plenty of parking. Look forward to trying more of the varied menu.

Awful service and average food. The poor waitress was stuck with a boy in training and just her on a Friday evening and a Christmas party to cater too on top of that she was absolutely drowning no staff should be left in that situation. After asking for the turkey roast we were told that wouldn't be served tonight just to watch the entire Christmas party get served it and then hear the table next to us ask if they had any left and the waitress said they did and served them the exact order we were refused 40 minutes before that by the boy in training. Waited 40 minutes for the bill after asking twice and having a very unsatisfactory meal. Not worth your time or money.

Had an evening meal. Two very rare steaks. The chef had them out of the fridge to ambient temperature, then chargrilled. Fabulous. One had tarragon butter, the other had rosemary butter. The serving staff were very knowledgeable. Great experience.

Have used this place many times and been quite satisfied but sadly this time the service was poor. We were told no turkey but later saw others being served turkey dinners!! The steak was not good at all. I asked for an americano with hot milk, the reply was do you want black or white? We had to ask 3 times for the bill. Clearly more training is needed.
