Frankly the best local pub one could wish for, amazing friendly staff all full of beans and always smiling, couldn’t do more to make your stay more welcome. Beautiful garden space with plenty of space for your pooch to bimble about.. lovely range of drinks to satisfy anyone buds.. the locals are equally just as friendly, a wonderful welcoming bunch of peeps…. Chin up! Cheers! 🍻🍻🍻👏🕺

Really nice, good looking pub. However, if you're looking to go for dinner and don't eat meat, you'll be in for a surprise (even in 2022). Out of 8 'big plates' options, only one is vegetarian. Pretty poor compared to other local options. However, the bread, halloumi and chips were good!

It has taken me a while to leave this review but I am now ready. This is such an excellent pub and the people who work here were wonderful. In August I had to organise a wake here for my dad's funeral - what was one of the hardest days of my life was made that bit easier by the professionalism and sensitivity of the team here. This is a heartfelt thank you that your kindness during this time - from organising it on the phone with me, explaining clearly how it works right through to your work on the day - will not be forgotten.

The service and food was top quality. I would recommend for anyone

We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon, they found us a table very nice spot.
The staff were friendly and polite.
We ordered 4 x roast beef dinners. Excellent not enough roast potatoes but then the meat made up for that. The vegetables were tasty. I/we didn't see the garden area. The car park is tight but enough space if people park sensibly.

This pub is well worth a visit! Jack, Millie and the Team look after everyone exceptionally well, it is clean, cosy and boasts a fantastic menu that focuses on engaging with local and sustainable suppliers. The bar area is always bustling (which is always a good sign in my eyes) but as there is a separate restaurant area - it gives you the option of a quieter setting, should you prefer.
We just had a fantastic Christmas Office dinner here - and it really was spot on! As there are some great walks locally it is well worth integrating as an 'en-route' stop off - at anytime of the year!
I really cannot recommend it enough!

Our first visit to a pub since lockdown eased for a proper meal and I wasn't disappointed.
The service was excellent, as was the food and the staff very friendly. The bubble and squeak starter with perfect poached egg on top, beautiful and the beer battered cod, yummy.
Garden is lovely and so is the interior. You could say that I had forgotten what it was like to go out and that's why I gave it 5 stars, NO I GAVE IT 5 STARS BECAUSE I COULDN'T FAULT ANY DETAIL. Excellent, see you again

It has become my go to even if its just for a drink.... today I had a starter which was the bubble and squeak...omg 🤤🤤🤤🤤 waiter pimped it out with some grilled chicken I mean yum...
Service can be a bit slow but probably cos of restrictions but it's worth the yummy goodness.
Staff as always fantastic
