A classic 'old man' pub, in a good way. Good beer, really well kept, good prices. Very compact place, attracts a very sociable and civilised crowd. Not one to bring the kids to, but a great one to escape the kids to.

This is the sort by pub that will survive the UK transition from beer drinkers to coffee drinkers, because it deserves to.

Fantastic pub for beer lovers.
Always have a great range of craft beer from IPA to sours.
Slightly tight inside but that's part of its charm and character.
Seats out the front too for the claustrophobic among us.

Unique bar just outside town centre, quirky inside with lovely atmosphere. Real ales on the hand pumps with craft beer lines as well

Traditional pub with character, good service and excellent choice of real, craft ales and other beverages. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and enjoy a traditional pub. Happy to recommend and return.

This place is in the good pub guide, so we thought we would give it a go.
Sadly not impressed, for a small place it was not to friendly, the ale was OK but nothing special. Eklectic inside and dusty. We felt so uncomfortable we only stayed for 1 drink.

Love this quirky little pub. Great selection of ales. Amusing decor. 😃
