Great pub. Live music, dog friendly, nice staff, great food and plenty of it. Good choice of beers. Nice atmosphere. 10/10. The smallest nachos starter was enough for 3 of us, and absolutely delicious.

Lunch on Sat. Great outdoor seating area. Food was excellent. Best toastie I've ever had and the chicken wings was best i had in a long time. One of the best places to sit and eat in Christchurch.

Thursday lunch stop. We've never been here before. How come this place wasn't packed? The food is amazing, cooked fresh to order and delicious. Lovely friendly service too.

A superb pub - deceptively spacious and full of character with nooks and crannies - something for everyone - great staff and friendly locals give it a welcoming feel - all topped off with good beer and food - we loved it.

Amazing food and great place overall. We booked a table online with ease although many places around were fully booked.
For starters we had prawns cocktail fresh oysters. For the main course we had seafood sharing platter. All was fresh and very tasty.

Very large traditional pub with a large outdoor area. Named after a well known local smuggler who was finally arrested in the pub in the early 17th century before eventually being taken to the Tower of London to be hanged.

The food is of a higher quality than some of the other Christchurch pubs and the service was friendly. Well kept ales and a good choice of other drinks.
