As I climbed the hill on my trusty bike I was faced with the welcome sight of The Hopbine Inn. It was 17:45 and the humble pub began to buzz. As I entered I noticed there were reservations signs on most of the available dining tables.
I took a look at the menu and asked the staff for recommendations. The restricted range focussed on pizza and burgers. “Fast food in a traditional pub?!” I went along with it and ordered Mac and cheese for starter followed by a florentine pizza for main. When the food promptly arrived I was pleasantly surprised.
They were some of the best examples of these dishes I have eaten in my lifetime. Eating modern trendy, high quality fast food in Traditional pub surroundings felt like a breath of fresh air.
As I finished the last slice of pizza the customers began to arrive in droves. Be sure to book a table before hand to avoid disappointment.

Delicious Pulled pork burger and fries. The pork was tender with a nice juicy bbq cider sauce and the Chipotle coleslaw contrasted well with the temperature and added a little kick to it, sandwiched together with a nice soft brioche bun. Fries were crispy and filling.

For £11.95 I enjoyed the meal but only thing I would say for that price is if the bun could be slightly toasted and the fries to be skin on as it seemed like they werent home made as otherwise I think £9.95 or £10.95 would be more ideal.

Lunchtime visit. Four local real ales on and our party tried all four and pronounced them all to be in good condition. We also took advantage of the lunchtime food offers. A couple of us had the pizzas and my special one which had pumpkin and njuda was excellent. I must return to try more.

Great burgers and vegetarian ones. Love this pub, it’s tucked away off the beaten track and has a quirkiness about it

We went to the Hopbine today for Sunday lunch. It was delicious. Great service and hands down the best pub roast we've ever had! We will definitely return.
