Had lunch here today and I have to say the staff were amazing. Really friendly and kind! Due to an incident with our son our meals were being kept warm for us until it was sorted, they however ended up cooking us fresh meals! The food was very good and again the staff were just lovely. Will be returning for sure!

It was ok. I got allocated a seat and the young girl brought my drink over politely which was nice but then I think she got distracted by some guys flirting with her that she didn't pay attention to a quiet, respectful customer sat waiting patiently for another pint. I gave it enough time and after she wasn't busy, I still didn't get acknowledged, so I left unhappily. Don't think I'll be going back there as my first & only experience wasn't great.

We usually have a great time here but on this particular day the service was terrible. We ordered food and one plate didnt arrive. We told the waiter and he said it was just coming. We waited and when queried again, he said he actually forgot to put it through and did we still want it, we said yes and never received the dish.

We also ordered drinks that we had to chase 6 times and waited an hour for. One waitress was particularly rude when we asked for her to chase them

We thought the music was great and the barman Ricky was very helpful when we told him about our missing drinks

We will go back as we have had great experiences before however since covid, the newly introduced table service just isn't working and this isn't the first time we have experienced this

Made a visit details were taken on entry not invited to hand sanitise but we used it anyway directed to table ordered a drink on next order sat for over 20 minutes for a member of staff to realise we were attracting their attention to place an order. The weather has changed and I did enquirer if the heating was on is it not a logic explanation if customers are sat with coats on the establishment is cold glad we did not order food after all . Nothing enjoyable about eating dinner with your coat on .

Pulled into car park as was looking for somewhere to have a working lunch. Was taking a phone call over hands free at the time so parked up to finish call. By time I was ready to go in, realised pub was shut with shutters down. 12 minutes I was parked up and I have received a £100 fine

Nice pub. Good food and atmosphere at a reasonable price. Just visited for an evening meal and despite being a chef down the staff were amazing. Highly recommended. Its not often that you leave a pub feeling sorry for the staff but you could see that they had worked their socks off to serve the customers to the best of their ability. We will be back!

Unfortunately I need to update my review. After mistakenly driving to the wrong pub to collect a takeaway I have been hit with a parking fine for the 5 minutes while I worked out where I should be. The pub were no help with the fine. Needless to say I will now not be back.

Have used this pub regularly over the years, especially in the summer sitting outside and having a walk by the canal.
Went to park up there last week and have a walk down the canal, but noticed all the parking signs and being as the pub is closed for lock down decided to go elsewhere.
A couple of days later received a £100 parking notice for spending 11 minutes on the car park while we read the signage and decided where to go next.
Have emailed the pub for their help but they have not replied!
Very disappointed, this pub now has an aggressive moneymaking parking policy and we will not be spending a single penny there in the future

I have never been to this pub and don't think I will be ever. Couple months ago, when it was strict lockdown, I took my 2 young kids to McDonald's drive through. There were lots of cars and one way traffic was locked around McDonald's. This pub is just beside the McDonald's restaurant. As a result of lockdown, it was closed and their car park was empty. My 1.5 year old started screaming in the car to eat his food, and I had to stop in front of their car park for literally 2 minutes to calm the kid down. I didn't even see a no parking sign. They decided to charge me 160 pounds for parking ticket charges. On a normal day where their pub is full of cars and people I understand this but how did I harm you stopping there a minute in order to avoid an accident while calming my kid in the car?? Hope your business thrive together with parking charges!
