Friendly staff and often a quiet pub during the weej, this is a great pub to meet your friends locally. Even if it is busy there is a good chance that an intoxicated local will give a good value conversation. Prices are reasonable and staff are excellent. Has an outside beer garden with tables for those that need a smoke, and there is football on the TV if there is a significant match. Good jukebox too Recommended

I have known this pub for over 50 years and always loved it.
Met a bunch of my old school friends there recently and had a brilliant reunion. Friendly staff and excellent ale. Youngs Special and Doombar to name a few and beautifully kept. An old style British Boozer - brilliant!

What a wonderful pub, the cask ale is kept to the highest standard, the publican is without doubt a master of their craft, good honest spit and sawdust pub that is still real, cant wait to return, cant praise this place enough

What can you say. I've been here a number of times and the guvnor and staff have always been great. Guinness excellent but they have ales on tap. Great place to meet up for a drink and a chat

Called here after parking truck fir overnight, lovely quiet pub, fantastic barmaid Chris i think her name was and met lovely Irish lad Gerry top night thanks for the laughs

A well-run traditional pub with friendly staff and clientele.

Just in the area and invited in after the game, staff and locals were polite and welcoming was early sat afternoon so plenty of tables to choose from, not sure about parking so used the leisure centre, but if you're drinking then don't drive anyway!

Youngs Bitter in good form. Always a pleasure to visit this pub. Pat is a great landlady and her staff are great👍😁
