Had my son and daughter in laws gender reveal party yesterday. About 70 people. The staff could not have been any more fantastic. Great attitude from all staff
from set up at 11am to last orders when we finally left. Thank you all soooo much.

What a lovely pub! The building its self is beautiful and the staff could not have been more friendly. I would really recommend bringing your family here for an afternoon meal!

Nice Period Building, this pub is well run by hardworking Manager Laura Crawford who leads a great team. She understands what constitutes a good Pint of Real Ale and won’t serve it if it’s not up to scratch. Great food at reasonable prices. In all a well run community village family pub with large child friendly Garden.

Hands down, the worst Christmas meal, maybe even ANY meal I have been served in a restaurant! The Baked Camembert starter wasn’t baked all the way through and the weird chocolate fudge brown/Christmas pudding fusion dessert was plasticky and unpleasant. But the “Traditional Christmas Dinner” was awful. The parsnips were burnt yet still so tough they were hard to cut, the Yorkshire pud was flat and like a soggy pancake, the Roast Potatoes were clearly “Aunt Bessies” (or similar) pre-baked heat up in the over jobs and the sprouts were too hard. As for the turkey, it was presented like pulled pork, so arrived as a small sticky blob of congealed meat shreds in a thick sauce. Basically, it was like a tin of that fancy Cat Food and, though I haven’t tried cat food, I reckon the taste was not far off either. All this was accompanied by the thickest, saltiest Gravy known to man which arrived 10 minutes after the main and had a thick skin on top. I know times are tough and it must be hard to get kitchen staff, but this was beyond dreadful. I recommend avoiding the food here at all costs.
