Great local pub. We were staying the week nearby, were made to feel very welcome by the landlady Mel. Really good beer and a friendly welcoming atmosphere, highly recommend.

What a great pub. In Kendal last week on holiday and found this place on our second day. Cracking place with something for everyone with pool, darts and sport on tv. Staff and locals all friendly and helpful. Did a lot of the recommended cycles and walks which was great. Lots of friendly dogs allowed even though they just want your crisps 😃.

I give it four stars on the name and the cosy look of the place from the outside. Sadly, just as I was about to pop in for a swifty to quench my thirst the door was shut and curtains closed. It was 22:45 but surely, that's a bit early for a lock in! Hell, I might have been part of the lock in!!! Next time.....
