The Star

Often drop in to the Star for a couple of drinks with friends - great place to catch up over a glass, really chilled, relaxed environment.

Good selection of drinks, not eaten in here for a long while though but will do soon as the plates that passed me by yesterday on the way out of the kitchen looked tempting!

What really makes this place is the friendly, attentive service from the bar staff, in particular the server with the cropped hair who recently came back from Amsterdam (I'm sorry I always forget to get your name!) who us always really chatty and welcoming.

We were sitting in beautiful weather outside in the beer garden. Relaxing atmosphere, staff friendly and tables were clean. Beer and cider of good quality. We did notice, that food is on offer until 9pm. Maybe next time we will try the food as well. Coming back for sure.

Fantastic little pub with a great outside heating area. Staff are very friendly, food came out quickly and was delicious. Try the steak and ale pie if you’re hungry.

We were disappointed with the availability of wine. Two of the most popular wines were not in stock. The house wine was of poor quality. Our visit was early on a Saturday evening, so one would have expected a wider selection.

We order 3 tapas to share and they were big enough for 2 person. The staff was friendly and kind.

When I’m in Haywards Heath this is my first pub to go to. Can’t fault this place. Great food and atmosphere and Andy and Joe really know their drinks. Great place to go for food and drinks!

Really nice pub. Lovely food! I went with friends, but would be equally good for a family dinner. Lady behind the bar remembered our drinks order after only one round, so was literally "same again?" next time. Which doesn't sound like a big deal, but for a first visit it impressed me greatly.
