Friendly, comfortable pub with interesting photo's and artifacts serving very very good ale. Why only four stars? Too many five star reviews which should reflect 'cannot be improved' in my opinion. No business should stop trying to improve and it doesn't appear the Stanley will.

Great micropub. Excellent beers, good range of drinks. Friendly staff. A real pub. Can take eats in from surrounding eateries.

Cons: expensive.
Pros: literally everything you want in a real pub. Not only a great selection of craft beers, but also an owner who knows and cares about what he sells.
A lively, friendly atmosphere, where other pubgoers will engage with you. Basically a house party with awesome drinks.
This place is a little jewel hidden in a tiny corner of a little town.

Lovely little micro pub with good choice of beers and friendly staff, will definitely go back
