Really lovely lunch here. Small meals for the oldies were perfect. Lots of vegan options for me. Jolly couple running the pub too.

Lovely village pub and rooms with a warm welcome and home cooked food. It's a big pub with a nice bar area, beautiful beer garden and large skittles alley. Situated right next door to Montacute Hotel, it's definitely worth a visit.

Lovely little gem, tucked away just a few mins walk from Montacute House. We had the home-made burger, served with coleslaw and fries- absolutely lovely!!! Place clean and cosy, staff really friendly. Would recommend.

Food was good. People were nice. Place was nice. Wasn't expecting dogs around my feet while I was eating but that's just personal choice I guess

Lovely pub. Was busy and seemed popular with the locals. Landlady very friendly and they do occasional live music so will be returning on the 24th. Did not eat but looked at the menu and observed the fast service and reasonable prices.

We had our family Christmas lunch at the Phelips Arms, and can't fault it.

The pub was busy, cosy, and had a really nice atmosphere. The building itself is stunning, and the Christmas decor was nice. Our table was set up beautifully.

The landlady and staff were friendly, and the level of organisation when dealing with large groups / busy times, was impressive. Cute dog too!

We had a variety of traditional and non-traditional Christmas food. Our group included a child and two vegetarians. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Difficult to pick out a dish for special mention, but I note they don't hold back with the flavours - the curried parsnip soup was great, and husband's nut roast was excellent.

My friend and I meet here as it is half way between our houses. Loveky atmosphere, friendly locals and visitors to the local National Trust property. The menu is good, staff helpful and the landlady is really efficient and on it! Great place!

Charles, Tricks and Co are just so welcoming. The pub offers great quality Palmers Ales on cask. Great beer combined with a tasty menu make this pub a must visit. Daily lunch and dinner specials and brilliant hosts behind the bar. Thank you!
