Love this place had a 30th birthday there everyones meal was spot on

The food was very good. The ambience was great; the service was average. The young gentleman who served us couldn't tell me if the establishment sold non alcoholic beers but redeemed himself by finding me a tasty lamb meal when I enquired. It was all together a pleasant experience. I've awarded 4 stars for the ambience and quality of food, cleanliness, and decor. But, it would be a 3-star review based on staffing knowledge and customer engagement as this could improve.

Food was good, service was good. However, very dissapointed in the management, a young girl, a waitress, was shouted at and humiliated in front of the whole restaurant for making a simple mistake regarding a drink. If you're going to reprimand your staff do it privately. Made all of us feel very uncomfortable and ruined our experience. Also, there's a fly in the Vinegar, I'm aware there is malt in there as its malt Vinegar however, that is a fly.

Outstanding varied food and drinks at great prices. I definitely will visit again. Large car park and great service

We had a great family party at Denby Lodge. Relaxed dining, good food, presented well by keen staff. The menu has something for everyone with steaks something of a 'star' selection. So, a lovely evening. Why 4 stars? While we were eating our main course we noticed smoke in the next dining area. Air quality deteriorated dramatically and affected breathing. I looked for the fire exit.......seriously! The smoke increased - as a second 'sizzling' meal wafted through the dining area. We asked the waitress who was hurrying passed out table what on earth was happening ....... "I'm going to open the outside door". Cold air rushed in thankfully. I was still coughing. It started to clear only for diners around us to discuss how cold it was!
So, please Denby Lodge.......ditch the 'sizzling' meals and keep air quality good for everyone.

Booked a table for Saturday night at 7.15pm. Food came quickly and was good. However don't expect to sit in the bar after your meal for a nice drink as they started hoovering in the restaurant at roughly 9pm and then mopping the floor in the bar area. 2 ladies still sat with their drinks as we left at 9.30pm. They literally turned the lights off. Not a very welcoming experience. The website stated it closes at 11pm.

Dined here for the 2nd time last night. Service & food really good. Very good prices too. We thought it was very funny when the young waitress nearly charged us £121 for 2 of us. She was very apologetic once she knew her mistake. We just laughed about it. We will definitely be back 😊

Great Christmas meal with friends. Lovely atmosphere, good service and great food. Excellent value for money.
