Great atmosphere full of character. Food excellent especially the Lamb stew 'Winter Warmer'. A bit of a wait for the food but we were told that when we ordered as it was busy. That's shows it was homemade food and freshly cooked. Good food portions, friendly service, very affable staff. Good value for money.

On a warm evening, we had a delicious meal in the secret little cool garden at the back which we didn't even know existed. Service was quick and staff friendly. Nice as its our local pub.

We didn't stay, we popped in for dinner after reading the reviews and weren't disappointed. Walking in, at first we struggled to find the restaurant having missed the door for the Lounge Bar.

Once seated, Found the bar staff all super friendly, we enjoyed mains which were hearty and home cooked. The cottage pie came with extra gravy which was a nice touch and the all day breakfast looked extremely appetizing! All in all, a fantastic meal which we nearly missed out on for not reading the signs!

Decor needs redoing, the food menu needs an upgrade and better chefs required.

I ordered a burger and chips with the chips being below par standard, the burger bun felt like something bought from a local cost cutters and the patty itself was chewy and barely edible.

I suppose you get what you pay for but at similar prices to a wetherspoons I was expecting at least that standard of food. I won't be going back here anytime soon.

Had Sunday lunch and it was absolutely delicious and very tasty. Loved everything about it. Finished off with syrup sponge and custard. Again delicious. Nice to get piping hot food.Well priced. Will highly recommend and will be back. Staff excellent, very friendly. Chef should have a few gold stars.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch. Cutover service and food were excellent. My son had a cheese burger which was also also excellent
