Wonderful ancient pub (over 900 years old!) where I stopped for a quick rest. Felt very welcomed by bartender and local customers alike.

Stopped off at the pub half way round a 7 mile walk. What a lovely place its is. Great ales although the selection was a little depleted after the Bank Holiday weekend and a selection of ciders.

I phoned beforehand as I wasn’t sure if they did food. I left a message and got a call back the next day saying they didn’t, apart from sausage rolls, which I had and enjoyed with my pint.

The place has a nice atmosphere and we were given a warm welcome. If you’re in the area and like good beer, it’s definitely worth a visit. Just mind your head on the low doorway!

There's nothing not to love about this quant pub. It sell no beer , but ale . Friendly staff , the smallest ( but clean ) toilets I've been in. The bar area downstairs is so small , however it did have room for a few groups of people. Dog friendly. There is an upstairs too but didn't go there. 2 seating areas outside the pub where you can people watch. It's definitely a locals pub but because it's known for being so small inside , it's also a pub that folk will travel to see. You can't go wrong.

My friends took me here today for a birthday treat. Wonderful little pub and such lovely friendly staff and customers. Going back there as soon as I possibly can. Would recommend it wholeheartedlyxx

Nice little pub but avoid polypin beers - especially cider. Barmaid wrung the last few pints from one, producing a cider unlike any beer or cider that I have ever drunk before. More like white emulsion paint, with a thick white sediment. Draught beer was fine.

Truly a little gem indeed. Great beer, friendly staff, and people actually talk and make you feel welcome. Used to drink there 40 yrs ago. I'm glad it's back !!

This place lives up to it's name! Very small, quirky little pub. You feel like you have stepped back in time when you step through the door. Great selection of (local) Goachers beers plus other refreshments. A fantastic place to come for drinks and a chat.

Excellent little pub re-opened after many years. Goachers real ales from their local brewery. Always made to feel very welcome. Thoroughly recommended!
