Simply the most amazing Thai food in Slough.

Don't let the exterior deceive you, hidden in this little pub lurks a man whose kitchen prepares fabulous food, fresh and fast to your table from the associated take-away establishment.

You simply need to ask the bar staff if you can order some food - menus on the table, everyday but Mondays - and soon you'll be visited by the friendliest head-chef you're ever likely to meet.

Order anything from the menu - believe me I have tried everything, it's the only place I eat when in Slough on business - you will be presented with gourmet cuisine which will leave you wanting to order more - either right then or when you return, as you most likely will.

Consistently excellent quality. If you love Thai food, then this is another good place to eat. Warm welcome by very courteous staff. Delicious food and well presented. Extensive menu too. This gem of a restaurant is a credit to it's hard working staff, great manager and absolutely first class food. This is our favo Thai place for take away. It's real high quality food at the highest standard. Great choice of beers too. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank-you and please keep up the fantastic service. That is why we always love coming back here for some authentic Thai food.

Good pub in the area to watch the football. Thai food available upon request. The bar staff are great all
Muck in during busy periods. Olivia is kind and fantastic at her job. Two pool tables and multiple screens.
Brilliant pub and truly the house of The Rising Sun 🌞

Good beer (the Guiness is well looked after) but the main attraction is the food.
Fresh, authentic and (with the right dishes) very spicy Thai food. The food is ridiculously cheap but very good. Well worth a visit: don't let the 'tired' decor put you off.
UPDATE (August 2019) - they no longer do food. As 'just' a pub I've dropped my rating from 5 stars to 3.

Not the pub it was since James left. One of the women behind the bar seems more interested in looking at her phone rather than serving. They also don't seem to know how to look after cask conditioned ale.Won't be going there again. Has improved lately. Now serving London Pride. I've had several lately and it's been very good.

I like this place because it's called The Rising Sun first off. The local clientele make it an authentic West London pub with laughter, sports excitement and good cold beer on tap. It's a nice comfortable hideaway unlike the 'Moon & the Spoon' which looks like a clinic for homeless drunkards! The men's bathroom is a little rough getting used to, but the food is good and the help are friendly and sincere. I say Cheers to The Rising Sun, my local pub away from home.

Traditional UK pub which has seen many owners and been open and closed a few times over the years.

They used to have excellent live music, but sadly this is no longer the case.
