Great simple home cooked bar meals and light bites.Good portion sizes. Fair selection of beer and ales. Friendly atmosphere. Ample outdoor seating with a view over Bristol harbour. Parking can be a problem immediately outside but large public car park only 2 minutes walk away.

If you like a small traditional pub with a good selection of drinks and they obviously look after the lines as the cider and larger taste better than many other places I've visited. If it's sunny it's always nice to sit by the water just opposite.

Middling cask offering. London Pride nicely kept, looked like they had run out of the local ale. Friendly crowd in historic building. Outside seating is very pleasant.

Very friendly staff great prices on cider I always pop down when I'm in the area. Even thought I'm not in this part of Bristol very much.

If you're in this area of Bristol and want a pint mate this a stop you won't regret it.

consistently great pub. Friendly atmosphere , fantastic traditional cider and a perfect outside area on warm days. I've never eaten there but the food is always popular and often some choices sell our. They even feed the workers on the other side of the Quay.

Popped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Food was freshly prepared, delicious and very reasonably priced. Popular little pub, we got the last seats. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

This is a great local pub with traditions. It feels like a warm blanket after a bad week. People are wonderful, and you can have a friendly chat with anyone in the pub. They have a good choice of beer and cider and some tasty food.

You can't go wrong with the Nova Scotia - a pleasant proper pub atmosphere, good home made food and always a few very good real ales, and if it's a nice day it's always pleasant to sit outside and watch life go by on the water or land.
