cheerful quick service both me and my partner agreed it was the tastiest meal we've had in a long while even the kids finished every bite will definitely be going back 👌

Great location, friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful.
Came in with a party of seven on a Saturday linhtime and they made room to fit us in.
Food is higher end priced but cooked fresh and tasty, and considering the setting, location and quality it's worth it.
Would certainly come back

We had Sunday lunch there. It was delicious and the staff was very welcoming. It was very busy, so I would recommend to book a table not to get disappointed. Thumps up for the Fox & Hounds in Lyndhurst!

Very positive experience at The Fox & Hounds in Lyndhurst. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. Good impression about the service and the furniture of the pub. You can seat inside or outside and you it's situated walking distance from all the main shops of the main road of Lyndhurst!

The vegan/ vegetarian meal was awful! It was not worth the cost. The meal comprised of a dollop of mash potatoes, gravy made from granules with some few floating mushrooms. The staff offered a few portions of chips on the side to make up for it but I wouldn’t recommend or order this dish.

Late afternoon after a walk in the New Forest, tried a few pubs without success as we didn't book, drive into town as glad we did. First visit, enjoyed Sunday lunch late afternoon, chicken roast was amazing! One of the best roasts I've had in a long time. Girlfriend enjoyed her burger and chips, best burger and chips she's had. Desserts were excellent.
Definitely recommend the food and service, we will be back next time we're in the New Forest walking. 10/10

Love the fox and hounds - great atmosphere, great drinks selection and friendly (if not extremely busy) staff. They would probably benefit from hiring 1 more person for the restaurant to cope with a busy Saturday evening.
Live music was very loud and only ok - ideally it would have been background noise for the restaurant and loud in the pub but where it isn't that huge inside I'm not sure if that's possible. Their Christmas decorations are lovely and the food is very nice. Limited selection for someone that is gluten intolerant and vegetarian, only 2 mains available. But what I did have (mushroom bourguignon) was very yummy.

A very lovely pub in the heart of Lyndhurst.
We had the chicken Kiev and it was delicious.
We opted to sit in the garden area and enjoyed listening to the Monday night quiz.
Would definitely go again.
