Meadowlark Shoebury

Been here a few times. Good value for money. I had the ale pie and mash which I did enjoy but was also a little disappointed as not a lot of meat filling. Staff were great and helped us with our enquiries. Also coffees were not filled to the top. But they happily topped up. Will go again

Went for the first time since its been done up, was very impressed!
Like the new set up with a nicer seating outside and inside is more modern pub vibe. Darts and pool table and lots of screens for sport.
Had a burger here too which was really nice and juicy. Fair prices but was quite pricey for a pint, but 2 for 10 on cocktails is a winner.

Unfortunately we were not impressed with our visit. We arrived at 6.30 and ordered our food soon afterwards at the bar. The starters were quite quick arriving and were actually good and hot. It got to 8pm and there was no sign of our main courses so one of us popped to the bar to see what had happened and were told they were just coming. They arrived a couple of minutes later and were all cold so it seems they'd been sitting around a while before being brought out. The meats were all cooked to death and very dry. I did request a medium steak but it came out very overcooked and extremely dry and cold. Everyone else felt the same about their meals being cold and overcooked. It's a shame as it wasn't busy at all and we were expecting good service and decent food. I don't think we will come back again.

From entry to exit myself and my party had a wonderful meal and experience. Nothing was too much for the waiting staff and the food was delicious. Only waited ten minutes for our food to arrive. The hunters chicken was amazing, moist and delicious. The whole menu was varied and something for everyone. Every meal had the calorific details next to it, so if your watching your waist line, its a handy extra. Well done meadow lark. I've booked again to come back already.

We were a group booking of 25... the only down side was the booking system and getting confirmation of the booking for our group. However I understand the the venue is under management change, so accept there would be a couple of Hiccups. On arrival the area we sit in was all reserved for us, the place was clean, tidy and welcoming. The food on arrival was excellent and would recommend so far the dishes I have experienced. The venue had a lot of covers at the time we were there so the wait was expected, and not a problem for most of us, .....Happy to return with our monthly group meeting for lunch.

Driven past many times but finally popped in for lunch and will be back. Great decor. Friendly and polite staff. Great food. Your a credit to your chain.

First time been since it's been done up and it looks very nice. Went for Sunday dinner but was told that had no roast dinners at all left or mixed grills?? Had other dinners and afters and although some were a little overcooked were still nice. Did have quite a wait to get the food though and it wasn't busy at all. Waitress was lovely and apologetic, was a little disappointed with it all but will give it a chance again another time to redeem itself.

3pm. Today. No slimline tonic, the skinny pizza was good, but waited approx 40 minutes for our food (not busy) and the burger was not fit for consumption. The classic burgers were burnt and dry and were splitting length ways they were that dry. Some fries were warm and others hot. To not even be able to cook a burger properly. Very lazy and mistiming of food. The burger must have been hanging around there waiting for the pizza, apart from being over cooked anyway. There are better places to spend my money. I didn't complain as we were in a rush. Don't think I will be returning.
