Perfect country pub

The three halves of beer were all top notch. We ordered one roast beef sandwich to share but ended up having to order a second as it was simply so delicious and not something to share!

Warmly welcomed. Nice pub.
But a small kitchen and a long wait for the main course. Another couple waited a long time for dessert, it wasn't just us. I felt sorry for the staff in the kitchen, they looked under pressure, and the owner who did work really hard.
Food was nice once served.
Personally, I think they take on too many diners for the size of the pub.
Definitely worth a visit tho. My relatives went and had a nice time. Must have been an off day.

The sharing steak is a thing of beauty!
The red wine is as warm and comforting as the perfect welcome.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere

What am unexpected find! Beautiful little country pub, lovely food. The landlord was awesome and very accomodating for a walk in on a Sunday lunchtime. We felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our short visit. Would definitely come back again. Several vegetarian options which was great for us. Thank you.

Food, service and atmosphere were all brilliant. Highly recommend coming here for food or drink by the cosy fire. Will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Amazing and cosy pub! Staff could not have been more lovely and accommodating. The food was sensational and they went above and beyond to check in on us for food and drinks
Highly highly recommended

Booked into the Plough for an evening meal, most other places in the area were booked up.
Absolutely loved the place, slightly out of the way, and not pretensious like some places can be.
Both draught beers I tried were great, food was excellent and service quick an friendly.
Would not hesitate to recommend.

On a hike to explore the Charlbury area, a fellow hiker pointed me and my husband to The Plough Inn in Finstock, a delightful pub, with delicious food, nice ambiance and a charming host and staff.
