The Avon Inn

Had a lovely family meal here. We managed to get 6 of us in at very short notice for Sunday lunch and they made us welcome when we arrived which was amazing. The staff were friendly, helpful & were working hard as it was busy. The food was lovely, the portion size was great & all of our meals arrived together. The choice of meats available for the roast was more than a lot of other places I have eaten & nothing was too much trouble. They had lots of choice for desert but some of the stuff they had run out of (said in a positive was rather than negative as what we chose tasted fantastic so I'm not surprised) The pub had lots of parking, a nice play area for younger children & a massive beer garden with picnic benches dotted around. I wouldn't hesitate to go back next time I'm visiting family & the owners/staff deserve a pat on the back for doing a great job

Popped in here as we were going on to Totnes. Glad we did stop as the food was great. Reasonably priced for a Sunday roast but the portion size with soooo many vegetables was amazing. Neat and tidy establishment with a pleasant atmosphere, and brilliant staff. Thanks all. We will be back.

Had an amazing night at the Avon inn. The staff were so helpful and served brilliant food and were even up for a laugh. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that’s a passing or around the area.

Lovely inn, with some great food, scenery, events and out door seating.

Used to love coming here for food but came at the weekend and was really disappointed in the basic options on the lunch menu and the greasy food that was put Infront of us as well as it being undercooked also. Defo won't come back to eat again unfortunately, even our children disliked the food as well, such a shame as the pub has so much potential!

Lunch time meal was awesome, the snug was lively so we ate in the main bar. I had the burger with chips meal.... Super tasty and those hand made cooked chips were better than my mum's .... Good portion sizes too. Apologies I forgot to take a pic of the burger before I devoured it.....believe me it was to die for.

Lovely Devon pub with a real local atmosphere.
7 of us booked a table and we were not dissapointed.
All the meals were good portions and very tasty.
The fish and chips were very special. Clearly they have a good fish supplier.
Friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Try this pub and support our local venues.

Nice selection of ales and well prepared food served in a pleasant environment. Busy do reservations a good idea.
