Firstly this place is so unique,it's like no other place I've been before. Quirky mill restored to this current hotel and restaraunt. Food was beautifully cooked and presented. Good food delivery wait time, staff were attentive and lovely. Grounds well maintained. Beautiful lighting in the evening, bridges to have pictures on. Plenty of outside seating areas.
A warning for tall people, this venue has quite a few low ceilings/doorways.
There is a stair lift for persons requiring this to access the hotel bedrooms and upper level bar/lounge area. A great place to stay, eat and enjoy the surroundings.

Went for Sunday roast and it was very good. They were all out of lamb when we got there and judging by how tasty the chicken, beef and pork roasts were (there were 3 of us) we are definitely going back to try the lamb! The location was another bonus being situated in a historic mill, very picturesque and lovely ambience. Easy 5 gold stars!

Only popped in for a quick drink. The variety of beers and cider was unimpressive and hideously expensive. Half of beer, half of cider and a glass of coke added up to £8.25. The surroundings are pleasant and the staff were cheerful and quick to serve so they are getting some things right.

Beautiful setting. Tasty light bites. Professional staff. Worth a visit but beware its entrance is easy to miss once you've turned off the main road as entrance is so subtly signed, leading me (and others) to end up in residential estate on first attempt to reach it. Turn and drive past a red brick building, looking like you are driving into an industrial estate but ahead lies the hidden gem!

Top-quality dining experience, and serviceable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed over night here and used the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

The restaurant is definitely something to be praised. Excellent, friendly, attentive wait staff, and properly gorgeous food.

If you’re coeliac/gluten-free, I can recommend the gluten-free pizzas, which feel as though they have actual effort invested in them, rather than being provided as a reluctant afterthought.

Our stay in the hotel was fine. The rooms are situated in a renovated mill building, which provides a gorgeous setting with a lot of historical appeal. At 6’4”, I reliably banged my head on every single doorframe in the building, though that’s perhaps more a reflection on my inability to learn than anything else.

The slope in some of the rooms is a little unsettling. I’m aware that this is often the case with older buildings, and there may have been a reason for this in a mill, but after a bottle of wine in the restaurant, I had an interesting time trying to get around the bathroom and bedroom.

Possibly not the case for all the rooms, but the bed in ours was positioned such that it felt as though it was sloping down at the headboard end, which was actually rather uncomfortable.

The staff who checked us in and out were most friendly and professional, however, so a big thanks to them.

Overall, a great dining experience, and a perfectly fine hotel, sloping floors and borderline concussion aside.

We stayed here for two nights. We didn't dine here, we only had breakfast. The location is central and picturesque, right beside the river. The rooms were basic but good enough. The breakfast was cooked to order and was good value.
We're looking forward to staying again

As a venue it is pretty awesome. The whole event we attended (wedding) was done really well. Can't complain at all about that. We had a lovely time on the night and it was brilliant to see the fams and friends again and of course the happy couple!!

The breakfast in the morning arrived an hour after we ordered it and the very loud presumably floor manager didn't feel an apology or an explanation for the wait was required. It felt a bit poor as far as customer service goes on his part.

There was an issue with some of the rooms i believe but as it didn't affect us i can't give first hand feedback on that.

I've dropped an otherwise well deserved fifth star for the breakfast issue - so close otherwise 😆

I can't comment on the rooms as we only popped through for a drink at a new setting. We viewed this venue as a great potential place to host our wedding! Whilst we've chose somewhere else, this was our second favourite. It is simply beautiful and highly recommend, whether it's for a round of drinks, evening meal, or to stay overnight. The surrounds is gorgeous, esp the outdoor bit, very scenic and tranquil 🥰 Will definitely be visiting again!
