Mum would've enjoyed her meal more if she wasn't overwhelmed by a large plate of food that she knew she wouldn't be able to eat.
Initially, we planned to have lunch at West Bay Cafe & Beach bar, but the menu has declined so much since our last visit, we decided to mix-it-up and try The Swan - what a relief that we did.
Between the two of us, we had fish & chips and one of the fantastic Thai dishes (am amazing revelation) of which both were of high quality and plentiful.
Service, venue and scenery were all brilliant & we look forward to returning this week given the schools are back locally soon.
Without wanting to spoil such a positive review, I would only say that it is a nuisance to have to pay each time something is ordered (we were sat outside), but I presume that if it deters buggers from running off, then it is worth it.
Looking forward to a swift return.
Fantastic service, really great hot food and very Christmasy surrounding. Five stars. A big thank you to all the staff, for a lovely night out. The weather was freezing outside, but the welcome could not have been warmer. Merry Christmas to ALL the staff.
Dessert (fruit crumble), disgusting! Approx tablespoon of fruit, crumble was all stodge. Very disappointing.
Michelle..... the proprietor, is so pleasant, engaging and just wants to please her clientele. Can't more recommend you give this establishment a go, because you, like myself will simply want to return again and again.
Having booked on line we were greeted by a sign on our table welcoming us.
Food was lovely, the normal menu was good ( not too extensive) and the specials board showed their focus on producing a variety of meals that are home cooked.
We had the spicy chicken burger, which wasn’t too spicy and very flavoursome & two of the home cooked lasagna. Again the lasagna was full of flavour and didn’t disappoint.
Dessert: all the desserts where on a ‘specials’ board which again means a return visit will probably offer another selection. We had the Caramel Apple pie with custard ( delicious) and the chocolate orange pudding with custard. Nothing disappointed.
The staff are worth a mention, very attentive and very little waiting time for everything we ordered.
Price wise it was very reasonable looking at around £20 per head plus drinks.
An absolute delight and will be returning
