Fickle Mermaid

Me and my friend went for lunch yesterday and we was told that they are short staffed so to expect a little wait which was absolutely fine and the staff did great:) I took my dog with me as dogs are welcome inside and was given a bowl of water for him which was very nice of them. The food was very yummy, I had the chicken ceaser salad and my friend had the chicken burger which looked good. The staff are always lovely. Would 10/10 recommend:)

Carly our waitress was lovely and super helpful. We came with our baby daughter and they made sure we had a place to put her buggy so she could sit in there at the table with us. The waiter with glasses was great and helpful as well

Had a great experience here.

Went on a Sunday afternoon with my wife and german shepherd after a long walk and was greeted wonderfully by the lady at the door who showed us to our table before putting down a bowl of biscuits, a bowl of water and a dog bed next to our table - all without us asking!

We both have the rotisserie chicken Sunday lunch which was huge, don't think we got over half way through although we wanted to as they were delicious.

We will definitely be popping back in again whenever we pass again in future.

I couldn’t recommend this pub enough, amazing food, lovely atmosphere and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home here☺️ The most dog friendly pub I’ve ever been to, I’ll absolutely be back!

Hubby and I enjoyed a quick stop here recently. Welcoming, friendly staff serving tasty food with very generous portions. I had the Bourbon Steak, which was cooked just how I'd asked and was lovely and tender. Dog friendly too, great place to eat.

Popped in on the way back from Buxton. Clean restaurant, delicious food and pleasant staff. Appears to be dog friendly 👍

We have eaten here several times now. Staff are always friendly. It may be a chain pub but it has that personal touch that makes all the difference.

Walked into this place and was welcomed and given a table straight away accommodating my friends dog and our own they gave us dog beds and filled water bowls for them really warm and welcoming feeling. Within 10 minutes of being there some one came to order our drinks and they came shortly after we was then asked a few times if we ready to order food as we kept delaying it and then finally ordered.

I got signature burger.
It was cooked very well burgers wasn’t dry the portion size was just right and I was happy with this meal.

Ordered a pudding.

Apple and pear crumble portion size again great but the little cup of custard would of liked a tad more.

Staff was great and friendly would definitely visit again.
