Always a great selection of real ales. Attractive rear beer garden in fine weather. Usual Wetherspoons good value food menu. Though can be very busy and noisy at popular times - Saturdays etc.

Went to the pub today around 9:30 for my 18th birthday and we had such an amazing experience me and my partner, Issac I’m pretty sure who was wearing a checkered shirt and trousers, was just so lovely and welcoming. He said happy birthday earlier in the night then came over sing happy birthday when he brought out last drinks over. He genuinely is one of the nicest staff I’ve met there and made us laugh every time he went past. I really hope he’s on shift every time we go in😊

Are we here, yes we are. Everywhere is busy in town. Witherspoon's do not let you down anywhere. The pictures here are of past people with there hair pieces and jackets. Public house is packed.
Only the parking was a bit freaky, driving down the road with my mother as a disabled person and badge.

We visited to have some dinner, it's one of the best Spoon's we've visited. Very clean and busy. The staff were very pleasant and quicker than other Spoon's we've visited. A few of the meals on the menu weren't available which can be understandable at these times. Meals came out on hot plates which is a good plus point in thier favour. Food was also very good. Would go back if in the area again.

Been here a number of times and this particular Saturday evening (28/08/21) was the busiest.
Very busy at the bar and only one table available, so I used the app.
Small pizza and a beer for £7.
The usual value for money Wetherspoon's.
Small beer garden at the rear and interesting photos on the walls about the local history

It was definitely a staff numbers issue. On the day when most other establishments were closed, Spoons was the only choice. Monday 2nd January 2023. The staff were trying their best, but the sheer volume of diners had overwhelmed them. The staff were still serving food but plates and glasses were on every table to be collected and returned to the kitchen. Our food took in excess of forty minutes to arrive and wasn't too hot either. We weren't alone in our wait.
I imagine on a different day, at a different time our experience would be very different, but this is how it was on the day.
2nd star only because the staff that were there, were trying to make up the difference.

Avoid! Went there yesterday, and, after waiting half an hour, when the food arrived it was pretty much inedible. Never had such awful food anywhere else in Lichfield. Gammon and eggs: the egg was rubber as was the mash potato, tomato was so black and burnt you could hardly tell what it was. Got the impression it had all been cooked and then reheated. Won't be going back.
