Staying locally and came for Sunday lunch. Very pleasant and efficient service and excellent roast beef with all the trimmings. Fruit crumble for afters made for a perfect meal. Good quality simple food well cooked at a very reasonable price. What more to ask for?!

Great pub. Comfy atmosphere, lovely garden. Good beer selection and very friendly bar staff. Just started going there (couple of months) but will update after trying Sunday lunch etc. So far though this off the high street pub is proving hard to beat in Witney.

Visited Saturday afternoon after a long journey from Staffordshire.
Brilliant reception from "Patch" and made to feel very welcome.
Really genuine and friendly guy with a real interest in his customers.
Thank you for your hospitality

Excellent Sunday Roast. Great value for money. The cauliflower cheese was lovely and cheesy and the beef and Yorkshire puddings were delicious. Dog friendly too so we were also able to buy a “doggy roast” for our furry family member.

This is a pub for all. A very chilled vibe in the day, especially for delicious Sunday lunch (and try Charlie's cheesecake it is insane). An energetic atmosphere in the evening with some great live music. The staff are really friendly and efficient, the food is on point and the drinks are varied. Yay Patch (the landlord)!

Beautiful night spent in the garden by a roaring fire pit that was kept topped up attentively. The team are so friendly and genuinely care about their pub. Good booze, lovely atmosphere and friendly people, what's not to like! C xx

Sunday lunch. A return visit to this great atmospheric pub which is now under new management. My table was easy to book over the phone with Patrick despite him having a large booking due around the time I wanted. We were given a bright front window seat which was perfect for us. The menu was simple with some real temptations added as extras. I can heartily recomment the Marmite and cheese roast potatoes. Yeh I know, sounds odd but seriously try it, you wont be disappointed!
The barstaff and waiting staff were friendly, attentive and helpful where needed, my thanks go to you front of house staff.
The portion sizes were just about right and everything tasted like it had been cooked with passion, chatting to Patrick after we finished our meal completely confirmed this.
So, go and give them a try, the prices are good, the food is on point and the pub is a great traditional old English pub with plenty of history. I said in my last review I will be back, and now the new owners have ably taken the reins I will look forward to many more visits.

What a great pub good selection of beers. No menu but a small but wonderful choice of bar snacks including pork pie and pickled eggs. Probably more but just what we wanted.
