Quite a small Wetherspoons ideally located in the town with an interesting selection of historical facts dotted on the walls.
I had a Ghost Ship 0.5% which actually tastes like beer whilst watching the news on TV

The meal was well cooked and nicely presented, also a fair price. The coffee facility is pretty good.
A good place to have lunch.

Steak was so tough that it was inedible. Accompanying jacket potato was perfect...but not sure that is what is the preference when ordering from the grill. Hubby had lukewarm fish, chips and a "slab"of mushy peas...needless to say the dog did well at suppertime! Great for cheap drinks but not food

Food is absolutely fine and good value for money. Majority of staff are pleasant and helpful but one, I won’t name names, needs to go on a customer service course or at least learn to smile and not look like he hates customers. Won’t put us off going but a smile makes all the difference when it comes to customer service.

Great range of real ales. Good typical menus. Great working man's Wetherspoons pub. Thanks Tim(CEO). Keep up the great tradition.

Friendly staff but the place could use a good cleaner and a new carpet, i often see beer that's not been wiped up theres lots of surfaces holding dust too.

Really good for Wetherspoons. Friendly staff and a nice building. As always with spoons you get a good beer selection at great prices

Staff were nice, but the food wasn't great, chips were greasy and my chicken wings were the smallest I've ever had at a Wethers (and I've had many).
