The Castle

It was not the pub we went to, we stayed in the hotel side of the Castle. Really impressed by the accommodation, large room, kitchenette and bathroom. Very clean and also quite.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay in the hotel/lodging linked to the pub. Location was great; only a 20 min walk to the main city centre. The walking route takes you past the canal and cathedral, which was a bonus.

Room was spacious and had a nice kitchen area. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was quiet. We had to take care of a few spiders in the room and the TV was sub par. The bed mattress was definitely at the end of its life cycle.

Would stay here again.

Can’t complain at all ,stayed here a few times now always clean rooms good bathroom good shower good value for money .

Been going here for 20 years now and it is still a lovely little pub.

Very cool gay pub, sadly very quiet. Good priced beer and fantastic staff. If you don't use it you will lose. Support this amazing community pub. Always go here when we are in Norwich.

Place is ok. Bartenders are friendly and talkative. Only thing is that if you’re not from Norwich or you don’t go very often to the castle, then you’re most likely to get ignored by the people that go there because they’re mostly locals and don’t allow new people that easily in their circle. That’s the vibe I felt when I went there a few times. Even my friend I brought yesterday felt ignored despite both of us trying to engage in conversations with the people there. You’re better off going to a bigger city with more people that are likely to be less reserved and more open to new friends. Norwich isn’t the right place for that . Anyway, feel free to come to the castle . You might have a different experience. The place isn’t bad
