Place has been refurbished, now open plan, toilets brand new (the old gents toilets were a source of ridicule for decades). No real ale.

Excellent, nice service, nice beer. Lovely log fire and a few games of pool. An enjoyable afternoon, definitely on my list of pubs to return to.
