What's not to like!? In the English countryside, near the river Test, up the road from Bombay Sapphire gin, a quite village. Pub was busy hosting a wedding but still made us feel very special. Service was steady and not rushed despite the wedding. Options to eat out or in and the garden is gorgeous to eat in. Good range of drinks to choose from. Recently changed hands but the staff remain and are super friendly. Food was really good, tasty, packed with flavour. Room is hot due to the current weather but it is August in a country pub, the windows are open and the village is alive. Got to love England in the summer. Thanks for the memories. Oh and the locals are fantastic, very welcoming and talkative, the 3 amigos (3 local chaps) were fantastic, engaging and so funny.

Excellent evening meal, Bed & Breakfast. Food was outstanding, accomodation was modern and comfortable and the service was attentive and friendly. A great location just off the M3. Highly recommended to couples, families and anyone looking for a bite to eat or just a nice pint.

Had roast lamb followed by crumble. Absolutely delicious. Good friendly service, sat in the garden outside with the dog. Will definitely be back :)

Waiters too busy looking after their friends to take a request. Also served a very old glass of Wine that needed returning. Shame as the food was brilliant if not a little light on the portions.

We’ve stayed here for a few nights and ate in the pub each night and we couldn’t fault the Staff who were absolutely fantastic…attentive, friendly and efficient!

Good choice of beers, both pump and keg. I visited with a friend, we tried three different ales, all top notch.
We ate a selection from the menu, different three courses each, all dishes were excellent.

We had an amazing birthday lunch celebration in Watership Down Inn. The dishes from starter to pudding were very delicious and appetising. Thanks to chef Steve for his incredible culinary skills. Delicious choices of wines too. The staff were accommodating and they ensured everyone was attended to. We had the lunch in the conservatory and it was the perfect place to wine and dine. It was clean, tidy and comfy. Excellent customer service! Very deserving of 5 stars, keep it up!

I like food. Good food. We eat out as often as possible. But I have to say that the food we had at the Watership Down was some of the best food I have ever had. We had fishcakes to start - could quite happily have just had a whole plate of those..... I had the chicken Supreme as a main and it was stunningly good, just delicious. The staff were lovely, prices reasonable. If I lived closer I would go on a weekly basis!! Well done Watership Down.
