Traditional friendly little pub in a Henley side street. Food excellent - I had the home made beef and Guinness pie which came with fresh green vegetables. Yummy! Didn't get a chance to try the beers since driving but it was busy in the bar so they must have been good! Definitely worth another visit.

If you like a traditional English pub this is the place for you. Friendly locals and nice staff. Just back from a stay in one of the rooms of the pub and thoroughly enjoyed our time - even in the heat wave! The pub is only a few hundred yards from the town and is worth seeking out. Large beer garden too. Henley is a lovely place and we will be back.

Well who knew this little pub existed up the back of Henley. Sat in the sunny garden with a lovely lunch.

Proper good old pub well worth walking up the hill for.

Stayed here for the Henley Festival. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, although as we were at the top of the building, the sloping roof caught my 6ft 1in fiance out a couple of times. I didn't have that problem 😊
Staff were very friendly too.

Lovely old,quaint pub,easy walk into Henley on Thames. Great large,clean room with good amenities considering the age of the pub. Customer service very good starting from the welcome from Suzie who was extremely helpful throughout our stay.

We received a friendly welcome. Rooms lovely, in quaint old pub. Kept awake in rear room with rain dripping loudly on bin lid or door dumped beneath window.
Sadly, felt disturbed by abrupt response at our holding keys and leaving packed bags in rooms past 10.30, as no staff present with whom to leave keys as instructed. Otherwise lovely stay
