The Swan Inn

Went to The Swan for afternoon tea. The venue did not disappoint, the village of Lavenham is lovely as is The Swan. Staff was attentive and kind. While the food was lovely, I have to say the actual tea was a bit of a disappointment as it was just Twinings tea. We really would have expected loose leaf tea for the venue and price paid. Otherwise we found the overall experience quite nice and I would definitely return to the Swan for the food.

My drink was flat tock it back and some girl and got funny with me saying hers is fine then gave me a bottle not a glass of sprite. I asked for a clean glass then got stroppy tipping out my old glass and giving me my old glass back so drunk up and happy to say never going back and will be telling people to avoid. very rude

Good Sunday Roast & Dessert. Nice pub in the heart of village with beautiful interior and a sunny courtyard garden.

The Swan is a beautiful pub in the village of Monks Eleigh. I understand that it now has a new landlady who was very friendly and chatty. The inside is beautiful woodwork and carpentry and there is plenty of outside seating with large umbrellas to protect from the very hot sunshine.
I'd love to go back to sample the food.
I was unaware that there were rooms available to stay.

Friendly, the food tremendous service incredible service gracious, and the pricing is very good. had main with desert two drinks and had change from 45 pounds so a good night out Thankyou .

Just came for drinks in the lovely friendly bar area. Very welcoming ‘village pub’ but stylish with a real fire.

Good local pub. Very cosy inside. Very traditional with wooden beams, fire and thatched roof. Nice ales and good pub food. Very friendly staff too. They’ve also got accommodation too. Good in summer too as they have some nice outdoor seating which looks over the lovely village of Monks Eleigh.

We had a meal at The Swan last night and it was delicious. Perfect serving, the vegetables were so delicious! Our waitress was extremely lovely and attentive. Highly recommend for a relaxed and delicious meal!!
