We called in for food just as we were passing. Staff were very friendly and very efficient, showing us to a table and taking a drinks order, in minutes. We studied the menu and decided on the highly recommended Yorkshire pudding with steak in ale filling. So tasty and so filling, sadly we were beaten by the portion size, so ensure you are very hungry when you go. Some meal prices are a little cheaper during the day which is incredible. Definitely worth a visit.

Since buying a caravan at Flamingo Land in February 22 this lovely pub has been our holiday local. Dog and baby friendly and always accomodating. The Sunday carvery is the best we have ever had at an amazing price. Thank you! X

What a great place to spend a few days . Really comfortable ,cozy room with the perks of a generous supply of teas coffee and biscuits and full English breakfast included . The restaurant served delicious meals and the staff working there are the most friendly helpful bunch of folks we've met. We'll be booking again as soon as we can

Went here for a carvery, but unfortunately there were a few issues. The room it was in wasn't set up in a way that makes any sense - you have to go to the back of the queue to get your sauces(?!).

The main issue though was the food. A bunch of boiled veg, some small Yorkshire puddings and leathery roast potatoes isn't at all what I expected from the reviews. The meat (pork) was fine, if a little dry. The beef, gammon and turkey didn't look much better either. The cauli cheese was watery, the gravy too thin. I just hope they were having an off day as it really didn't make me want to go back. The saving grace was the decent beer and homely setting.

We have never stayed there but we always go there for a meal when we are in the area.
I would highly recommend the giant Yorkshire pudding with steak and ale 👍🏻
