A beautiful place to stay. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Quiet bedrooms despite being on a busy road. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast included. Most food on the menu has a gluten free option. Martin, the manager is fantastic and ensures that he has time to have a chat to everyone making us all feel very welcome and at home. Great bunch of friendly locals too. Warming, real fire. Skye the pub dog is very friendly to all. 10/10 for everything. Thank you Martin and team.

Booked Sunday lunch for ten people celebrating my birthday. We enjoyed the privacy of a separate dining room and the food was really enjoyable. The staff were very pleasant, service good and very good value for money. Would thoroughly recommend Sunday lunch and a good venue for holding a party.

Great breakfast. Had the full English which was included with the room. Each item on the plate was great quality and cooked perfectly, a great start to the day.

The local area can be explored on foot, near the Thatched Cottage are a cider brewery, an old prison and an arched viaduct.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch here. It was beautifuly cooked and delicious. Will definitely visit again . The young lady who waited on us was really lovely and friendly as was the manager. Well done!

We had such a great dinner here, we went back the next night! Lovely welcome, a good menu (not too much on it but something for everyone) and really really good food. We had burgers, lasagne and steak, plus puddings. We stayed up the road but we'll be booking rooms here in the future. Only downside... No 75cl bottles of prosecco! But we struggled on. Oh - and two of our group are coeliacs and they were extremely well looked after. Quite a lot of the menu was either gluten free or adaptable, with good bread options. 100% recommended.

The Thatched Cottage Inn, Shepton Mallet, Somerset is a lovely accommodation, an excellent food, a bit on a higher price, an excellent personal service by Martin, a manager as well as Ken another manager, both managers are very welcome and very friendly. A cooked breakfast in the morning served with a smile. Parking is free and secure, Wifi is free but it doesn't always work in rooms above the pub. I would like to recommend this accomodation to everyone who is in the area.

A limited menu of traditional English culinary delights means the team running this establishment know what they are doing in gastro pub style. All reasonably priced. A beautiful Shepton Mallet Greene king pub that we found with a car park big enough to park our motorhome. Stopped for lunch & the sandwiches were fantastic. The best BLT( wholemeal or white), with a lovely dressed salad & nicely seasoned French fries, that i've ever had. My partner had the cheese & chutney version. This was washed down with a pint of their own in-house ale which was top notch. A well run establishment that was immaculate both in decor & vibe. Staff were great which made this a wonderful find.

Amazing service from lovely staff. The Manager went above and beyond and for that I am truly grateful! Was fully booked on arrival but after one of the best half of Guinness in the area - a table for two next to the fire became available. A lovely lunch was served and we will definitely be back for an evening meal!
