During a house hunting trip over 4 days, I had the pleasure to stay in The Stables which was very comfortable and great for a peaceful nights sleep. Each morning I enjoyed a hearty English breakfast, wonderfully cooked by Richard, the new landlord, who was only too pleased to ensure I had a wonderful stay.

Each afternoon upon my return, I was greeted with a friendly smile and enjoyed some wonderful beers chatting to Chloe and Richard and the locals who made me feel very welcome.

I would very much recommend the Farmyard Inn where you can ensure you’ll have a wonderful stay, great meals and wonderful well kept beer.
Many thanks,
Kevin

Lovely atmosphere and traditional decor. Sunday menu delicious and ample food. We went with a fussy child and they couldn’t have done more for us. Great choice of drinks too. On site parking or by the road near by. Decent banter off the landlord and staff too. Dog friendly.

Fantastic Sunday Roast! We booked online which worked really well, then had a text to say its confirmed. We hadn't been for years, used to live in the village but unfortunately had to move away. I definitely recommend Farmyard, the food was delicious and plenty of it. We had a nice surprise at the end as kids eat free when having a mini roast dinner 👌so our childs was free. Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful, even the chef who popped out to say hello. Thank you all, will be back soon!!

I've been told by my good lady to score this place highly we'd never been before but the atmosphere was great. The banter from the staff and the locals was welcoming and it felt like we were local too. The food was good the good lady ate it all and trust me that says a lot. The question is would we go back if we were in the area "yes" is the answer...

Loved it. Great location, clean and quiet room, brilliant friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. The food in the pub is excellent too and there are numerous great walks from the door.

Called in on our first night for good old fashioned pub grub nosh.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive young staff, well kept beer, good quality gin, all at a very reasonable prices.
Speaking from my own experience, as good a chips as you can get, every bit as good as our back home much publicised 'thrice fried in beef dripping' and I got a lovely piece of fried fish in crispy batter, and mushy peas with a generous helping of tartare sauce for the back home price of those 'thrice fried chips'.
Nice simple sweet, one of our party bagged the last raspberry creme brulé served in a quaint matching cup and saucer. I had apple tart and vanilla ice cream perfect partner for the fish and chips. All in all highly recommended.

WHAT A TREAT.. We book a table for 4 at 4pm. After a 10 mile walk from the village and back the Farmyard Inn was a welcome sight. Such a traditional atmosphere the decor, local people, and the landlord so friendly… never been before but will definitely be back.. give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Everything was delicious and you get a huge portion! Potatoes in the Sunday roast were excellent - beautifully salty and spiced. The landlord was very friendly and so was the barwoman, very chatty and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere too - a really nice warm fire and a friendly atmosphere.
