Had a great lunch here. The pies are so good!! Beautiful presented - pie, kale, carrot and potato all cooked to perfection and wonderfully tasty! Friendly, attentive service in amazing surroundings. Very, very enjoyable.

Lovely pub with a great food menu including delicious pies. In our group we had a vegetarian, a vegan plus two who were gluten free and we all had lovely pies served with mash and veg. They were also able to offer dairy/gluten free batter for fish and chips. Really tasty and a beautiful setting if the weather allows you to eat outside.

We had a return stay at the old Swan , booked a superior room , staff where very helpful and pleasant, and breakfast great, the room however was not to the standard expected, bedroom had water marks on the ceiling and in the bathroom there where black mould marks on the wall. The room had not been serviced despite confirmation from the staff that the room was ready as we had an early checking, The water bottle was half empty, bathroom dustbin still has waste from the previous occupant and the bath mat was dirty. discussed this with the receptionist expressing our disappointment in the standard of a superior room

Lovely little village in the Cotswolds. We had lunch at the Old Swan, they specialise in pies so that's what we had! Very tasty with plenty of filling, not the largest size but that was perfect for us. The service was extremely good... very attentive and everything came in good time. The inside is nicely old fashioned and they have a good size outside garden and eating area. £70 for two glasses of very good wine, two mains, one dessert and coffee isn't bad these days

I was disappointed that the evening menu is exactly the same as the lunch menu. Very Limited choice of starters and deserts, main courses mainly pies.
We all had pies and they were all very tasty but served with a mountain of kale and one half roasted carrot, not very inspiring. We finished with baked Alaska which were all very uniform and too sweet, I strongly suspect they are not made on the premises. The other two desert choices were both very stodgy, not a good way to finish after a pie.
The service was good but there are not many staff at this hotel and the chap who served us seemed to do everything consequently it was a bit slow towards the end.

We only ate at the restaurant, have been once before but as always food was delicious and wholesome. Nice ambience, ladies serving were lovely, nothing too much trouble. Definately come again when in area. We all had steak, perfectly cooked.

I booked a 2 night stay at The Old Swan over the 29th and 30th Dec 2022, and was extremely disappointed that it fell short of the high expectations advertised on their website.

We stayed in the Churchill room, and for £175 a night, one would expect the windows to be fixed. The fixtures were in an appalling state with very poor insulation.

The room was not serviced despite having a sign on the door. The bed was not made, the towels had not been changed, and the bathroom was left as is with nothing being cleaned. When we complained to a member of staff, they did not seem too surprised, but they did apologize.

The central heating broke down on the second day of us being there and it took hours for anybody to do anything about it.

For £175 a night, one expects above average service. I brought my mother here for a holiday and am left open-mouthed by the lack of attention to detail.

House maintenance is part and parcel of any decent stay anywhere, so I suggest that 'The Old Swan' brush up on their house keeping, otherwise lower their prices to reflect the honest/humble state of their establishment.

I visited this pub for lunch expecting an outstanding pie and mash experience but I was disappointed. The pies are on the medium to small size, accompanied by a dollop of mash, some kale and half a roasted carrots as per pics. The problem is that in mine there was barely any filling, just a few small slivers of chicken, bits of ham hock and gravy. I had way better pies in several other eateries so I can't give it more than the 3 star probably generously given the service was also very slow.
