The cutest little inn. We met the nicest locals who would go for the pub for beers. It was super dog friendly which was a huge plus. The breakfast every morning was extremely tasty. And they make the best coffee. We loved it all.

Oh wow, what delicious food!
An extremely popular country inn - we booked last minute are were told to arrive by 6:30pm or they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us .
Extremely friendly staff, a great choice of beers and wines.
The menu itself was fabulous, a good mix of seafood/meat and vegetarian dishes.
Next time we are in the area we will go back

Stayed here the night of the 8th for a family do at the Village Hall. Great reception from the staff, most friendly and helpful. Room was clean and fresh as were all the facilities. The food that night was great, well presented and again, from really good efficient staff. We really enjoyed our stay and will go there again when in the area. A full English breakfast to start our day, a walk along the Trout river behind the Pub and we set off home again. Thanks Chris, you have a great place there!

Came here for a meal as it has been really nice before.
Ordered 2 starter in the group one came and the other came 30mins later. The chef spent more time out the front chatting
Myself and hubby ordered the burger. More flavour in mac Donald's burgers. Not greens on the plate just a burger in a bun with cold fried and cheap cheese on the burger.
The staff were rude and very unpresentable. When they asked if the meal was okay and we said no there was no apology or trying to correct anything.
Such a shame for a lovely little village.

Disorganised Sunday lunch service. Being busy is not an excuse that works for me. Tables around us seated and orders taken 15 minutes after us were served, completed meals and tables cleared before our food arrived one hour after ordering despite a gentle reminder. The reason given was that they were busy. When pointing out the table next to us had arrived 15 minutes after us, ordered, eaten and left and we still hadn't received anything, it was pointed out that it happens sometimes. It is no wonder the Greyhound is busy, it's a beautiful building, location and the food is excellent. Just perhaps a bit better organisation and even more covers could be achieved no doubt.

We called in on the off-chance on Saturday lunchtime, having visited the area to collect a purchase. A beautiful pub with a welcoming atmosphere, fabulous food and very friendly staff. We will make the effort to visit again even though it's over 20 miles from home.

A big 90th Birthday party with many generations and many different dietary peccadilloes. Greyhound was lovely to us all, burger 🍔 got an excellent rating from my 11yo food critic (bar the gherkin), my dessert of the day was a Dorset apple cake. Very friendly place.
