Buckinghamshire Arms Aylsham

Wonderful, attentive and really friendly staff. Great atmosphere and dogs made to feel really welcome (they loved the garden and friendly people in it). The vegan super food salad was incredible - who knew salads could be so exciting and the fries like homemade. Lovely wine. A gem of a place!

Went for the first time , 4 adults , 2 children.

Food was amazing . Never had such large portions . Staff were very nice and attentive. We accidentally left something when leaving and a female staff member ran out to give it to us which was very nice of her .

The thing we thought could be improved is the decor , particular the area where you book in . It looked tired and a bit shabby and not a great first impression . We all commented on how drab it looked. The restaurant area was also a bit uninspiring and needed a bit of a make over . I noticed the workstation area where the till is located looked untidy .

The pub is very popular so parking can be a bit difficult as it fills up quickly .

Food and service 10/10

Lovely meal, good service, plenty of choice. The menu even had a vegetarian section - not just one dish. Some things could be dialed up a notch, but no need, it is fine as it is. My pork and mushroom stroganoff was bursting with flavour and there was enough for a big appetite. Great lunch.

Couldn't have been much better! The service was great and the staff are really knowledgeable for anyone with food allergies or intolerances. We sat outside under closer to the pub, if I had one criticism it would be to sort out the lights to stay on constantly instead of fading on and off we couldn't read the dessert menu's! But everything was brilliant and for your money I think you get seriously big portions. Highly recommend 👌

Service was top class and very friendly and professional. Food menu had an amazing selection and tastes as good as it looked, real 5 stars. You won't go away hungry. Will definitely be returning.

Located in the grounds of Blickling Hall we visited the Buckinghamshire Arms for Sunday lunch. The roast beef and roast chicken dishes were generous in portion and good value for money. The beef in particular, slow cooked overnight, was thickly cut and thoroughly enjoyed. We sat outside in good weather after a walk in the extensive parkland surrounding the hall and the whole experience was very enjoyable. The Buckinghamshire Arms is also dog friendly. Recommended if you are visiting the area.

Popped in on the off chance of a table for Sunday lunch. Given a 2 hrs window which was more than enough for a very nice meal. 1x beef and 1x pork, masses of meat and good selection of veg. Never had a bad meal here! Even better in the summer if you are up this part of the world.

Stayed here while visiting Blickling House,which was just across the road. What a great time we had, the room was fantastic every thing we needed,warm & comfortable. Dinner amazing as was the breakfast. Sat in the snug bar for an evening drink with a few locals had a right laugh. Staff were all helpful and really friendly. Couldn't of asked for more, had a great time.
